Mocambo betekent "hoerenkast" in het portugees, hebben we ons laten vertellen...

Begonnen als SRV tribute band, hebben zij daar in 2008 een punt achter gezet. Nu is het Texas Blues in de ruimste zin van het woord. Prachtige slepende slowblues tot dampende, zwetende en swingende Texas Blues op een zeer kenmerkende MOCAMBO wijze: rauw, stevig, superstrak, spekvet en recht uit het hart gespeeld!

Een superband die de grondvesten onder je laat schudden en trillen! Met Ed op gitaar. Ko op bas.  Ries op drums. Anita op hammond.

Op dit moment is de band volop bezig met het maken van hun eerste eigen cd, die grotendeels uit eigen nummers zal gaan bestaan. Het belooft veel goeds te worden, met heel veel kippenvel momenten. Mocambo bracht reeds een DVD uit: "Live from the Netherlands.” De DVD is inmiddels in Amerika en Japan is uitgebracht.

Mocambo is the Portugese word for "whorehouse", as we have been told.

Mocambo started as SRV tribute band, but they ended that in 2008. Nowadays they play Texas Blues. Beautiful rolling slow blues and steamy, sweaty and swinging Texas Blues played Mocambo style: raw, firm, greasy and straight from the heart.

A super band which will make the ground shake beneath your feet. With Ed on guitar. Ko on bass. Ries on drums. Anita on hammond. Crew: Hans, Nourdin and Dick.

The band is busy recording their first CD, which mostly contains own songs. It is promised to be special, with lots of moment which will give you the goose-flesh all over. Mocambo already released a DVD: “live form the Netherlands”. The DVD has also been released in the United States and Japan.
