Southern Rock leeft
in Nederland! Skinner, de Lynyrd Skynyrd Tributeband uit Rotterdam
heeft hiervoor gezorgd.
Cozy (gitaar) begon
reeds jaren geleden aan dit grote project: gewoon als Lynyrd Skynyrd
coverband, niemand had toen nog van het fenomeen ''tributebands''
gehoord. De niet eenvoudige, ijzersterke Lynyrd Skynyrd songs werden
samen met vijf andere muzikale Skynyrd liefhebbers tot in de puntjes
uitgewerkt. Wat hierna begon kan gezien worden als een muzikale
kruistocht!
Velen hebben al
kunnen horen hoe Skinner de southern rock van Lynyrd Skynyrd laat
klinken , een lekkere mix van rock , blues en country. Van ‘Sweet
Home Alabama’ tot ‘Free Bird’, van ‘Call Me The Breeze’ tot ‘That
Smell’, alle Lynyrd Skynyrd klassiekers worden met enthousiasme op
het publiek losgelaten.
Skinner is een
coverband met een zeer goede reputatie en stond al eens als support
act voor: Molly Hatchet (USA), Wishbone Ash (UK), L.A. Doors (UK),
White Cowbell Oklahoma (CAN), Flavium & Brainbox (NL), Eric Steckel
band (USA) en Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight (NL).

Southern Rock is still alive ! Where? In the Netherlands! Skinner,
the Dutch Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band from Rotterdam, Holland, is
going strong.
Founder of the band Cozy, already started this project in the last
century. Back then no one had really heard of something like
‘tribute’ bands. He and five fellow musicians managed to workout the
complex and timeless Lynyrd Skynyrd songs very well. After this a
Southern Crusade in music began to take place.
Many have already enjoyed the unique sound of Skinner, with its
rock, blues and country influences. Remember all the great songs
like Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama and That Smell !
Skinner will take you back in time for sure. Also newer "classics"
like Berneice, Red White & Blue and That's how I like it are part of
the impressive setlist.
Skinner is a coverband with a reputation, the were the support act
